“Grown-up Gap Year” = professional hiatus for long-term backpacking: Natalie is more than six months into an around-the-world journey with her husband Shane. After 10 years working the grind in London, they packed up their flat for a year and hit the road with backpacks...

Excerpt from Natalie & Shane's 'City to Soul' travelogue:

"After many years of saving and planning, we finally decided to take the bold step of quitting our London jobs to travel the world for a year...

We had accomplished quite a lot in our 10 years of London living, from acquiring professional qualifications to purchasing our first home. We are very grateful for the opportunities we had. However, the busy city life was taking its toll. We got stuck in the rut – and wanted to explore other ways of living.

After all, life is too short to be cooped up inside an office, doing the same thing day in and day out. Life is about adventure, experiences and making memories – and there is no better way to do this than to travel the world."
